AUTHORIZED TRAINING
IME maintains program specific recognition and authorization for all of its programs. Each program is individually governed as to its methodology and training requirements. These authorizing bodies include the American Heart Association (AHA), the National Association of EMTS (NAEMT) and the Arizona State DHS Bureau of Trauma and EMS.
EXPERIENCED FACULTY
Our core faculty are experienced medical providers and educators from a spectrum of medical service backgrounds. Our EMS and Nursing Faculty have served in Pre-hospital Environments (EMS and Flight) and Clinical Facilities such as ER and ICU. In addition, our core faculty are supported by a multi-disciplinary team of experienced physicians providing up to date evidence based clinical oversight for programs and frequently participate as guest lecturers.
ONLINE PROGRAMS
IME programs include online and hybrid options that are designed for the busy professional. These programs employ the latest technology to provide the best learning experience and flexibility for our students. In addition, IME utilizes world-class Learning Management System (LMS) to coordinate student learning pathways.

NATHAN LEWIS RN
30 + Years EMS / Nursing
Nathan Lewis has been involved with EMS since his initial EMT certification in 1989. He has worked at every level of EMS (EMT, IEMT and Paramedic) and his passion is innovation and education in EMS. Nathan used this passion as a skilled software developer to be instrumental in developing the world’s first distance learning program for Paramedics. For the past 15 years Nathan has worked as an ER, ICU and Flight Nurse and continues to be an EMS Coordinator for IMD.
JEFF DUNHAM BS, EMT-P
30 + Years Fire / EMS
Jeff Dunham is an experienced Captain Paramedic Firefighter with Surprise Fire and Medical Department. Jeff also holds a degree in Public Safety Administration. Jeff brings a wealth of experience and ‘relate-ability’ to the classroom having worked also as a Flight Paramedic, Ambulance Paramedic and ER Paramedic. He further maintains teaching credentials as a Fire Instructor/Evaluator, EMS, AHA and NAEMT Instructor.
